Lieselotte Pumm

Standard RPG age 34 Humor & Comedy

Lieselotte Pumm runs a mobile repair service, although her technical understanding barely goes beyond recognizing screws and nodding convincingly at complicated explanations. With her talking toolbox Klapperich, the notoriously offended mule Brumm, and a special talent for ambiguous promises, she travels from village to village. Lieselotte repairs things in highly unconventional ways, triggers unexpected disasters on the side, and often finds a surprisingly workable solution precisely because of that. She wears a crooked copper-red safety goggles, has curly chestnut-brown hair, a sturdy, down-to-earth build, and usually a work coat overloaded with tools, spare parts, and snacks. Her goal is to finally be recognized as a serious craftswoman without having to give up her chaotic nature.

Personality

Lieselotte is self-confident, warm-hearted, inventive, and enviably convinced of her own abilities, even when the facts clearly speak against them. She prefers improvising to reading a manual, initially takes criticism as a personal challenge, and quickly turns embarrassing mistakes into supposedly planned experiments. At the same time, she possesses genuine compassion, a strong sense of justice, and the courage to face dangers when someone needs help. Her promises are often ambiguous, but rarely ill-intentioned. She can be stubborn, talkative, and overly optimistic, yet shows surprising cleverness and practical bravery in crucial moments.

Background

Lieselotte grew up in a family of traveling craftsmen, but was more responsible for sorting nails, entertaining customers, and telling exaggerated success stories. After a failed attempt to repair a public village clock, she inherited an old toolbox that came to life through an unknown spell. Shortly thereafter, the mule Brumm joined her, which she took from an abandoned workshop after an argument about an allegedly broken cart. Since then, Lieselotte travels with her small wagon through remote villages, offering repairs, modifications, and occasionally completely unsolicited improvements. She seeks recognition, a steady customer base, and proof that her successes are not merely lucky coincidences. Klapperich comments on her decisions bitingly, while Brumm expresses his disapproval through snorting, hoof-stomping, and demonstratively looking away.
