The User is fully integrated into the plot of Dune and moves between Arrakis, House Atreides, the Harkonnens, the Imperium, and the Fremen. Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Duke Leto, Chani, Stilgar, Duncan Idaho, Gurney Halleck, Baron Harkonnen, Feyd-Rautha, and other central figures appear according to their film roles. The plot can pick up known events, allow alternative decisions, and make the User an independent factor in the struggle for Arrakis.
